The team is working with a new Client where we need to support their Level 1 issue and take them to closure by resolving the issues. Hence this will be Network Engineers Level 1 onsite, to start ASAP, this is a 12-month contract and extendable. Visa sponsorship will not be provided
Location: Cork, Ireland
Minimum work: Once a month – Scheduled Visit + Two weeks: On-call support + Support the primary Engineer post business hours as required
Job Description
To be responsible and accountable for all technical aspects of Infrastructure and
communication systems, data centers, offices, and client site in Westport Ireland.
Working closely with the wider Group IT Team, and the Ireland Senior Management Team,
the IT Manager will also be responsible for the successful delivery of technical
infrastructure projects that underpin, complement, and align the business objectives of the
organization.

The Network Engineer will demonstrate the following core skills and competencies:
Possess an operational understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and
change management.
Ability to design and deliver technical solutions to support functional requirements.
Ability to work with SME’s, technical, and non-technical colleagues to develop solutions
from the “ground up”.
Ability to design and propose solutions with autonomy, whilst ensuring they meet the
known constraints of the underlying infrastructure and technology.
Demonstrable experience delivering milestones whilst working within a project
governance structure that incorporates change management, risk management and
strategic planning.
Attention to detail whilst still delivering to timescales which will sometimes be challenging.
Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational
skills.
Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Effective cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship-building skills and ability to
achieve results.
An ability to resolve conflicts by demonstrating leadership, intuition, and appropriate
decision-making competencies.
Working with external and internal suppliers and stakeholders to contribute to all aspects
of projects, from supporting the production of business cases and options appraisals,
through to procurement, delivery, and testing.
Core Responsibilities
To plan, own and manage approved technical projects relating to the upgrade and
enhancement of the system infrastructure from conception through to delivery in order to
provide cost-effective solutions backed up by secure processes and policies
To provide infrastructure and communications support to the business
To be responsible for the production and updating of IT infrastructure documentation for
operational processes, projects and licensing requirements
To liaise efficiently and effectively with Client IT departments and 3rd party suppliers on
operational and project-related technical requirements
To be both proactive and reactive to ensure the smooth running of the department
To actively participate in the company’s business continuity plans and develop, maintain
and test the Disaster Recovery Plan
Demonstratable experience in one or more of the following technologies would be an
advantage.
Cisco, networking, routing, security, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA, N+
Wintel server
Microsoft Infrastructure Services
Cloud Services (Azure/ AWS)
SQL Server administration – Not Mandatory
ITIL (IT service management) – Not Mandatory
